What is Vibroacoustic
Therapy (Vat)?
Vibroacoustic Sound Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive approach that combines soothing sound frequencies with calming vibrations to support the body’s natural ability to heal and restore balance. Using our specially designed sound table, low-frequency sound waves are transmitted through the body, creating a deep, cellular-level massage that can ease tension, calm the nervous system, and promote a profound state of relaxation.
Much like acupuncture, vibroacoustic therapy works to restore flow and harmony within the body’s energy pathways. The combination of vibration and sound supports circulation, helps release tension, and enhances emotional well-being, creating an ideal complement to acupuncture treatments or used as a stand-alone treatment.
Vibroacoustic Therapy is safe, non-invasive, and drug-free, making it a supportive option for anyone seeking natural ways to reduce stress, ease discomfort, or deepen relaxation. Whether you are managing chronic challenges or simply longing for a reset, vibroacoustic therapy offers a gentle yet powerful way to restore harmony in body, mind, and spirit.
The Experience
During a session, you simply rest comfortably as waves of sound wash over and through you. The body naturally entrains—or harmonizes—with the calming frequencies, making it easier to quiet the mind, release stored stress, and reconnect with a sense of inner peace.
Clients often describe the experience as feeling both grounded and expansive—where the body relaxes deeply, the mind grows quiet, and a sense of inner calm emerges. This therapy is wonderful on its own and also pairs beautifully with acupuncture, enhancing its benefits by creating a receptive state for healing.
How Does Healing Through Sound and Vibration Support Wellness?
The vibrations flowing from the table with the chosen frequencies travel through muscles, tissues, and the nervous system, encouraging the body to release tension and shift into a state of relaxation and balance.
Research has shown that vibroacoustic therapy may support a wide range of wellness goals. Studies suggest that it can help reduce pain perception, lower stress, and improve mood regulation by influencing the parasympathetic nervous system, encouraging a shift from "fight or flight" into the "rest and restore" state where deep healing can occur (Wahbeh et al., 2007; Punkanen & Ala-Ruona, 2012). Clinical trials have also found benefits for individuals with fibromyalgia, chronic pain, and Parkinson’s disease, showing improvements in mobility, relaxation, and quality of life (Wahbeh et al., 2007; Garcia-Gil et al., 2020).
