It is recommended to have between 12-15 treatments, one to (preferably) two times per week for 90 minutes per treatment to attain sustainable results. After the first treatment, you may notice a feeling of tightening of the skin, a glow to the complexion, and clarity in the eyes. Many patients are also either very relaxed, or rejuvenated by the treatment.
Patients usually notice a significant change by around the seventh treatment, in both their appearance as well as in their body. By the end of the series, you should look and feel 5-15 years younger. This also depends on how well you took care of yourself during and after the treatments (healthy lifestyle, eating right, not smoking, etc).
Maintenance treatments are then recommended every 2 weeks for 2 months following the treatment series, then once a month, or seasonally to prolong the effects of the acupuncture.

If you have had laser resurfacing on the face, a chemical peel, or microdermabrasion it takes 2-3 weeks of recovery time. During this time, refrain from facial rejuvenation acupuncture.
